Long story short my headphone plug got slightly bent and I've been using it in my phone (galaxy nexus) and recently discovered that the bent plug had damaged my connection and so now the sound only comes out one speaker/headphone no what cable I use unless I 'tilt' the connector.
I'm just wondering if there's any way for me to fix this?

I had the same issue on a pair of MDR-V6's
Of course for me, the value of the headphones meant I didn't mind spending £5 on a new headphone Jack and replacing it.
You might seem to find a fix, but it'll never be right again. If they're cheap, buy a new pair. If they aren't cheap, replace that jack

I recently did the same thing with a pair of CX 300's. Ended up ordering a replacement plug online and soldering it on. Good as new, gold plated 3.5mm jack cost about $2 with shipping. Made a thread about it on here.

Edit: I'm replacing my headphones but the problem is that the connection in my phone has become loose no matter what jack I put in.

If the connection in the phone is loose too (I had that with the iPod that accompanied my MDR's too
)
I had to get it repaired at the apple store, but it was under warranty.

Ah ok so if I send my phone under warranty will they cover it?
I didn't think they would since it was my fault

I wouldn't tell them that you know what's up, I'd tell them you put in a headphone jack one day and it only came out of one ear.
You tried two other pairs of headphones, but the same issue arose.
Or something..
